I use to look at my pictures and wonder who the fat person was staring back at me. The first time I went canyoneering was in 2010 and I was ~50 lbs heavier. I remember feeling exhausted, frustrated, and lacking confidence in my strength. I was so mad at myself for getting to a place where my favorite activities were extremely hard for me to do. With the help of my AWESOME trainer, Eddie Sumpter, I have been able to meet many physical goals and have created new ones to challenge myself even more!  Working out with Eddie keeps me motivated and he is ALWAYS entertaining. I spend my workouts laughing as much as I sweat!  My biggest accomplishments so far have been biking up Mt. Hamilton and canyoneering in Zion National Park.  Now I am so PROUD of myself and am stronger and leaner than I have ever been. Ann joined Sunnyvale Fitness weighing 134 pounds with 28.8% body fat.  3 years later, she reached 109 pounds, 15.3% body fat and completed a 5 hour marathon, a 2 hour 7 minute 1/2 marathon, a 24 minute 5K, and the 199 mile relay from Calistoga to Santa Cruz.

Arip signed up with us carrying 18% body fat at 170 pounds.  In 15 months, he reached 8.75% body fat, 157 pounds, and increased his bench pressfrom 115 pounds to 205 pounds.  Several months later, he hiked Half Dome in Yosemite National Park.


Prakash lost 14 pounds and 4.6% body fat in 3 months!

I DESPISE working out, but knew I needed to make a change in my life in order to be healthy for my kids. The staff is superb!!!  I've lost 40 pounds and can do things that I couldn't do even when I was thin!  I've run 1/2 marathons and am even scheduled to do a Tough Mudder later on this month. The most important thing there is how they treat you as family, the staff genuinely cares for your well being. My trainer Eddie is the BEST!!!  They have joined me in races I have done just to support me and make sure I do well. No other gym or trainer has ever done that. if they see I'm feeling in a rut they will call/text for me to meet them and go do a run to get me motivated. I am a very finicky client and consumer, very few things or people will I actually place my name behind, but I completely support and endorse SUNNYVALE FITNESS, they truly are the best.
